Founded in 1991 by the Ministerial Alliance, The Christian Cupboard was created to bring local churches together to pool resources and provide food assistance to individuals and families in need throughout Guadalupe County.

Today, our mission remains simple: to help ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.

The Christian Cupboard provides a reliable supply of nutritious food to individuals and families who are experiencing financial hardship or struggling to make ends meet. Each food box contains a variety of items that can supplement meals and help families prepare nutritious, well-balanced dishes. Our offerings include meat and dairy products, canned goods, dry goods, and other essential groceries.

Our work is made possible by a dedicated team of 85+ volunteers who give their time and talents to serve approximately 1,000 families each month. Because we have no paid staff, donations go directly toward providing food and assistance to the families we help.
